Once again I’m surprised by what the readers of Albertville reject. This book of Christmas poetry should be appealing to a large number of people here, yet has gotten attention. It’s full of rhyming poetry about various aspects of the season, both religious and humorous. Throughout the book are pleasant sketches, iconic images we associate with the holiday. It’s dripping with tradition and yet has been left lonely. I say cull it and let it find a home where it’s appreciated and can become part of a tradition of reading poems during the holidays.
