The popularity of this volume gives me some hope. People apparently like to browse a wide variety of poetry on occasion. What’s less encouraging is the age of this volume, which results in a heavy emphasis on British poets. It would be nice to have one more recent but also arranged in categories that the average person can relate to and easily refer to as in this book: nature, love, inspirational, humor, etc. However, I would be happy if every family had this “album” on their shelves as a way of becoming acquainted with poetry. Definitely keep this as long as it holds up.
