The Collected Poems of Babette Deutsch

While there are things to admire about Deutsch’s poetry, it leans strongly on the academic end of the scale with few of the charms likely to attract readers here in Albertville. Though Deutsch was well-published, her work has not continued to be anthologized and thus few remember her even in the world of poetry. The circulation reflects the disinterest I would expect. Cull this book.
