This volume of African American poetry has a dated looking cover that probably doesn’t help its circulation. It actually contains poems by some high-powered poets: Langston Hughes, Gwendolyn Brooks, Robert Hayden, James Weldon Johnson, Leroi Jones. It’s a worthy volume but this library has other excellent volumes of African American poetry and this one is not getting attention from patrons. I say let it go.
