Anne Bradstreet was our country’s first poet and having a book about her and her poetry is appropriate for any American library. This is book provides biographical information while putting her poetry in a larger context, both comparing it to other English language poetry at the time and to her predecessors. I recommend keeping this book as long as it holds up.
