Stephen Crane is better known as the author of The Red Badge of Courage. However, he wrote a good deal of poetry in his short life. His poetry is not considered as important as his fiction and having a volume of his poetry isn’t obligatory for a library. This particular volume has had rather odd circulation. It received regular attention up through the 90s and then readers abandoned it entirely. I say give it another ten years and if interest hasn’t picked up, let it go.
