Subtitle: A Critical Introduction
by M.L. Rosenthal
No circulation information available
As the subtitle states, this is a critical perspective on the modern era poets, mostly but not exclusively Americans. It has individual sections dedicated to Yeats, Pound, and Eliot. Additional chapters touch on Robinson, Frost, Williams, Stevens, Moore, Cummings, Sandburg, Jeffers, Lawrence, Crane, Auden, Thomas and Lowell.
Since this library is rather short on books by or about the moderns, I suggest keeping this one on the shelf as long as it holds up. It’s currently taped (and retaped). Once it gives out, it should be replaced with another book of critical writing covering these poets.
