This is a nice collection of English language humorous and nonsense poetry from both the U.S. and Britain during the time period that’s stated in the title. It’s had odd circulation, popular in the 70s and 90s but not the 80s or 2000s, that’s been dwindling. If it goes another 10 years without circulation, consider it ripe for culling. At that time check for a current anthology of light verse to replace it. It’s nice to keep such a collection on the the shelves. Albertville has large volumes by individual poets who specialized in humor but this is the only anthology I’ve come across and with light verse, a mix of surprises can add to the humor.
