This volume of poetry and very short stories was apparently put together by this self-publishing press (Harlo Press) primarily to showcase the writers who have used their service during the year 1978–a little added advertising for everyone (as well as the press)–a sampler of sorts. This is another one of those books that baffles me. It contains poetry of a junior high or high school skill level and yet it has received enough circulation that it doesn’t seem just to take it off the shelves. It was clearly given to the library by members of the community who appear in it. Why it continues to be read is beyond me. Keep it on the shelf as long as people show interest in it, but once that interest wanes, discard it tout suite.
